What is speed-to-lead?
Speed-to-lead is the time between a prospect showing interest — a missed call, form fill, or text — and your business making first contact. It's treated as a distinct metric because response speed correlates strongly with conversion: leads contacted within minutes convert far more often than leads contacted hours later.
It's a useful concept because it separates two different problems that get confused: lead quality and response speed. A business that thinks it has a 'bad leads' problem often actually has a slow-response problem, since a genuinely interested prospect who never gets a timely reply looks identical, in the numbers, to a prospect who was never interested.
